Babywearing

In countries all over the world babies are worn by their mothers. I believe it is a Western mentality that our children are expected to entertain and occupy themselves. In many other cultures around the world baby simply goes where mom goes. A growing number of Westerners have accepted this and the term "babywearing" was born.

At OBH we offer two different styles of babywearing: slings and wraps . There are several benefits to babywearing, including:

• Your child is secure, knowing you are near
• Your child "humanizes" faster, being with you and seeing what you see
• It is easier to keep "baby hoarders" at bay when they see your baby is slinging happily
• With many carriers, youare able to move about, hands-free
• You can nurse discreetly in public
